Plans Finally Released for the Big Boat Series of Rolex

Registration is now open for the 55th edition of the annual Big Boat series of Rolex which is to be raced on the Bay of San Francisco from 12th to 15 September of 2019. The classic of fall is well-known for its iconic venue, the breeze on sailing, and also the opportunity to win a Rolex Oyster Chronometer which is Swiss made.

“Last year some of us also viewed 28 J/105s and even on their line of start, and the class of J/88 made their debut of Big Boat Series of Rolex,” says Susan Ruhne, the Chair of Regatta. “Plus, there was action from Grand Prix which is great in the class of Pac52 and also racing in the 3 classes of ORR. The class of Express 37, which has a very long been 1 of the backbones of this battle, saw only 1 point separating the 1st and 2nd place finishers.”

Racing ordinarily takes place on 2 sections of Bay. First one the starting area of Island of Treasure and the beginning area of Alcatraz and the committee of the race which splits time of each class between these 2 lines of start just in order to test speed and handling skills of each team in all of the tides, wave patterns, and currents.

Any of the class with 6 entries and that so by 1st August 2019, will definitely get their own start of 1 design. The classes of all One Design that fail to arrive this mass which is critical will be welcomed into the race in the ORR classes of Regatta, besides mono-hulls which are greater than LOA with an existing partially or fully measured certificate of ORR.

Ruhne said, “We are very excited to bring back the all known J/70s as a class of One Design.”
